Liebe Marianne!
Hiermit sende ich Dir in aller Eile die Copien der beiden Briefe, die ich gemäss Deiner Karte von Mittwoch soeben an Donnan u. Fajans geschrieben habe. Du kannst sie Max-Albert geben. Ich kann ihm noch vielmals zum Geburtstag gratulieren u. wünsche ihm vom Herzen „Glückauf“ u. gute Fahrt.
Morgen ^Freitag vorm.^ fahre ich auf ½ Tag auf Einladung zu Mittag nach Heidelberg. Abends bin ich jedenfalls wieder daheim. Hier ist es furchtbar heiss.

London, die Stadt schon allem, ist erdrückend anstrengend durch Lärm u. Löhnung, lege Dich ja mal am Tage hin. Auch habe ich gewollt zu erzählen u. grüsse und küsse Dich und sei gut mein liebes Herzjungel.

Dear Marianne,
I am sending you the copies of the two letters which, according to your card, I wrote to Professors Donnan and Fajans on Wednesday in a hurry. You can give them to Max-Albert. From the bottom of my heart, I would also like to wish him a happy birthday and all the best for his trip.
Tomorrow (Friday morning), I am traveling to Heidelberg for half a day. I was invited to a luncheon. In any case, I'll be home in the evening. It's terribly hot here.
