Graphic representation of the periodic table of chemical elements in the style of a spiral with interrupted short and medium periods. This table was originated by French engineer, inventor, and biologist Charles Janet (1849-1932) in 1928 and classified by chemist Edward G. Mazurs as Type IIIB3-3 in his seminal work Types of Graphic Representation of the Periodic System of Chemical Elements (1957). A version of this illustration appears as Figure 74 on page 141 of Mazurs' 1957 publication.
