Graphic representation of the periodic table of chemical elements in the style of a spiral with different sizes of revolutions. This table was originated by French engineer, inventor, and biologist Charles Janet (1849-1932) in 1928 and classified by chemist Edward G. Mazurs as Subtype IIIB4-1a in his seminal work Types of Graphic Representation of the Periodic System of Chemical Elements (1957). A version of this illustration appears as Figure 87 on page 152 of Mazurs' 1957 publication.
