Letter requesting Georg Bredig (1868-1944) to meet with the German Consulate General. Bredig is instructed to bring this letter and identification papers. In this letter, Bredig is referred to by his Jewish name Saloman.

According to the Executive Order on the Law on the Alteration of Family and Personal Names established in 1938, German Jews with "non-Jewish" names were required to adopt a new name. Salomon Julius Georg Bredig was the Jewish name that was forcibly given to him.
