Rohm and Haas, an international chemical company headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, acquired Whitmoyer Laboratories in 1964 as part of an effort to diversify the company's product offerings to include fibers and health products. The Whitmoyer Laboratories facility manufactured pharmaceutical and veterinary products; however, due to a lack of profit, these product lines and facilities were sold off by 1977.
