Rohm and Haas, an international chemical company headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, acquired Whitmoyer and Affiliated Laboratories in 1964 as part of an effort to diversify the company's product offerings to include fibers and health products. The Whitmoyer and Affiliated Laboratories facilities manufactured pharmaceutical and veterinary products; however, due to a lack of profit, these product lines and facilities were sold off by 1977.
