The album includes images of chemistry laboratories and apparatus as well as images of Max and his father, Georg Bredig (1868-1944), amongst their respective colleagues and while working in their labs. The majority of the album is filled with photographs of Max and his friends participating in recreational activities such as skiing, hiking, and sailing. On page three, there is a set of images depicting Max's sister, Marianne Bredig (1903-1985), with her father Georg.
