Graphic representation of the periodic table of chemical elements in the style of a plane spiral-lemniscate for the representative and transitional elements, with an additional loop for the rare earth elements. This table was originated by French engineer, inventor, and biologist Charles Janet (1849-1932) in 1928 and and classified by chemist Edward G. Mazurs as Type IIIB3-2 in his seminal work Types of Graphic Representation of the Periodic System of Chemical Elements (1957). This illustration appears as Figure 71 on page 138 of Mazurs' 1957 publication.
