Robert Mulliken (1896-1986) writes to Harrison Shull (1923-2003) with notes and corrections to a research problem in quantum chemistry under investigation. Mulliken suggests Shull use the linear combination of atomic orbitals (LCAO) for the wavefunction (Ψ) in his calculations.
