Erich Anselm Marx (1874-1954) was a physical chemist. He studied under Svante Arrhenius (1859-1927) at the University of Stockolm and Philip Lenard (1862-1947) at the University of Kiel. He later became a professor at the University of Leipzig until he was forced to retire under the Hilter regime. In 1941 he immigrated to America where he continued to work in the field of physical chemistry.
