Joseph Priestley (1733-1804) was an English clergyman and natural philosopher who discovered oxygen. Josiah Wedgwood (1730-1795) was an English potter who founded the Wedgwood company, notable for their industrialization of pottery. Wedgwood and Priestley corresponded on topics including chemistry and laboratory equipment.
