Lieber Bill! Wir erhielten in den letzten Tage folgende 1er Päckchen: 2 an meinen Mann, 2 an meinen Schwager u. 5 an mich. Wir haben uns sehr gefreut und können alles sehr gut gebrauchen. Vielen herzlichen Dank für Ihre große Mühe! Wie Ihnen mein Mann schon schrieb, hoffen wir in den nächsten Tagen nach Marseille (die Maenner nach Les Milles zu können) u. von dort aus in absehbarer Zeit nach U.S.A. Hoffentlich kommt nichts dazwischen. Bis wir Ihnen wieder geschrieben haben, senden Sie also bitte vorläufig nichts mehr. Aber eine andere große Bitte habe ich noch. Könnten Sie sich erkundigen, ob es möglich wäre 2 Schrankkoffer von Utrecht nach Lisboa* zu befördern zu lassen und wenn ja, ob Sie dies für ratsam halten? Wir selbst können nicht direct nach Holland

Dear Bill,
We recently received the following one pound packages: 2 for my husband, 2 for my brother-in-law, and 5 for me. We were very glad and can put everything to good use. Thank you very much for your immense effort. As my husband wrote to you, we hope to travel to Marseille in the next few days (the men can go to Les Milles) and then from there to the USA in the foreseeable future. Hopefully, nothing will prevent this. Until we have written to you again, please do not send anything more for the time being. However, I have another considerable request. Could you inquire whether it would be possible to have 2 suitcases sent from Utrecht to Lisbon* and if so, do you think this would be advisable? We can’t write directly to Holland.
