- 1936-Jun-30
Kurt M. Mislow's (1923-2017) 1936 report card from Die Schule Am Mittelmeer (The School on the Mediterranean) in Recco, Italy. The Mislow family left Germany for Italy in 1936.
The Schule Am Mittelmeer was established in 1934 by Hans Weil (1898-1972) and Heinz Guttfeld (1904-1995) after they were forced to leave their positions at another boarding school due to their Jewish identity. The Schule Am Mittelmeer was created to educate German-Jewish children. The school closed in 1937.
