Sehr geehrter Herr Doktor!
Ich erhielt vorgestern Ihren geschätzten Brief, der mich sehr gefreut hat. Ich bleibe wahrscheinlich in Stockholm den ganzen Sommer vielleicht mit Ausnahme einer Spritzreise nach Lübeck zur Naturforscherversammlung. Es passt sehr gut, dass Sie erst nach Mitte Mai kommen, da bei der Zeit die gewöhnlichen Praktikanten vom Laboratorium weg sind und es dadurch mehr Platz ist. Sie sind herzlich willkommen, nicht nur von mir und meinen Freunden sondern auch im speziell von einem der letzgenannten, dem Österreicher Dr. Luggins, welcher seit Oktober bei mir arbeitet, und in dem Sie einer prächtigen Kameraden erhalten werden. Mit den besten Grüssen an van‘t Hoff, Reicher, Eykman und van Dereuter. Auf Wiedersehen!

Dear Doctor,
The day before yesterday, I received your esteemed letter, which I really appreciated. I will possibly stay in Stockholm for the entire summer except for a potential short trip to Lübeck for the naturalist’s convention. It is very convenient that you will arrive after mid-May. By that time, the usual interns will be away from the laboratory and as a result, there will be more space. My friends and I are very glad to receive you, especially the Austrian Dr. Luggins, who has been with me since October. He will be a brilliant colleague to have. Give my best regards to van‘t Hoff, Reicher, Eykman and van Dereuter. Farewell!
