This table was originated by chemists Frank Austin Gooch (1852-1929) and Claude Frederic Walker in 1905 and and classified by Mazurs as Subtype IIIA3-2a in his seminal work Types of Graphic Representation of the Periodic System of Chemical Elements (1957). This illustration appears as Figure 70 on page 137 of Mazurs' 1957 publication.
