Sehr lieber Freund,
Deine Karte vom 16 hat mich sehr gefreut. Ich werde, wenn nichts Unerwartetes eintrifft am 23 (Sonnabend) mit einem Vormittagszuge in Darmstadt eintreffen um da zu übernachten und am Sonntag nach Frankfurt zu gehen. Ich hoffe, dass ich dabei reichliche Zeit finde Dich und andere alte lieben Freunde zu sprechen. Ich habe meine Frau hier und sie folgt mir natürlich nach Darmstadt, Frankfurt und nachher Wiesbaden und Berlin. Am 28 verlassen wir vermutlich Berlin um am 29 wieder in Experimentalfältet zu sein.
Es wird mir eine grosse Freude sein Dich und Deine Frau wiederzusehen so wie so viele andere lieben Fachgenossen. Vielleicht kommt auch Ostwald hin. Es grüsst Dich herzlichst.

Nauheim, 18 May 1925
Dear Friend,
I was glad to receive your card from the 16th. If nothing unexpected happens, I will arrive in Darmstadt on the 23rd (Saturday) with a morning train to spend the night there. I will then go to Frankfurt on Sunday. I hope to find plenty of time to visit you and other old, dear friends. My wife is here, and she will accompany me to Darmstadt, Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, and Berlin. On the 28th, we will probably leave Berlin and arrive at The Fields for Experiments at the Royal Swedish Academy of Agriculture and Forestry on the 29th.
It will be wonderful to see you, your wife, and other colleagues. Perhaps Ostwald will come too. Warm regards!
