Lieber Freund!
Dein ganz ergebener lieber,
Svante Arrhenius

Dear Friend,
I want to inform you that my wife gave birth to a very strong boy three days ago (12.10 at 5 p.m.). The child and mother are doing very well and we are delighted up here!
Since your visit, which was very pleasant, I have not yet calculated eupepsia and dissociation according to the earlier experiments of Khigive, Lonnquist, Lobasoff and Dolinsky. The square root always comes out nicely. I will convey this to Hoppe-Seyler in the next few days.
Autumn has been unusually warm and beautiful here, but very foggy. I have not yet started working in the new laboratory. Warm regards from our home to yours.
Yours truly,
Svante Arrhenius
