Walter Fraenkel (1879-1945) was a private lecturer and professor of physical chemistry. He married his wife Lili Fraenkel in 1921. Like his uncle Georg Bredig (1868-1944), Walter Fraenkel lost his ability to teach because of his Jewish identity. In 1939 he emigrated to the United States to escape Nazi Germany.
