Hochgeehrter Herr Kollege!

F. Haber

Dear Colleague,
Thank you very much for your kind note of congratulations. I vividly recalled our wonderful youth in Leipzig, which unites all of us who studied in Leipzig together. The impressions from Ostwald’s institute were especially influential. When I saw Pfeffer together with van’t Hoff or Arrhenius and Ostwald, it also made a lasting impression.

Such great scientists and their successes always astound the youthful mind.
These experiences will probably keep us all connected for life.
My honorable colleague, I remain, your very devoted,
F. Haber
