Lieber Max Albert!
Herzlichst
Ihr Kasimir Fajans

Dear Max Albert,
I received a summons from the Immigration and Naturalization Service in Detroit to vouch for you at the local county clerk’s office. Since you communicated all required denouncements from that time, everything is straightforward, and I hope that you will become a citizen soon.
On Monday, the 10-week summer term will begin. I was on vacation for the past month, which I spent working in the garden (vegetables) and with pottery.
Stefan is expecting his military orders.
Best regards to you and your family, especially your father.
Warmly,
Kasimir Fajans
