Two stamps from Surinam commemorating Marie Skłodowska Curie (1867-1934), a Polish-French physicist and chemist who pioneered radioactivity research and who discovered the elements polonium and radium. Curie was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, the only woman to win two Nobel Prizes, and the only person to win the Nobel Prize in two separate fields.
