The National Lake Survey
- 1984
This video presents the Environmental Protection Agency's National Lake Survey, conducted in the early 1980s as part of the National Acid Precipitation Assessment Program. The goals of the survey were to see which of the 3,000 sampled lakes were already becoming acidic, identify lakes for ongoing study, and use the data collected to predict the longer term effects of acid rain.
The version of this tape in the Science History Institute's collections is a window dub, which includes a running time counter at the bottom of the screen.
