Caricature of American chemist Samuel Colville Lind (1879-1965) created by artist J.C. Weller at the 1931 American Chemical Society National Meeting in Buffalo, New York. Commonly referred to as "the father of modern radiation chemistry," Lind served as president of both the American Electrochemical Society (1927) and the American Chemical Society (1940) and was elected a member of the United States National Academy of Sciences in 1930.
